January – Feb – March Snowshoe Hikes

 Join the Leelanau State Park and Grand Traverse Lighthouse staff for two different snowshoe hikes this winter in two different locations.

Saturday January 4, 2025 at 10 AM

A 2-mile snowshoe hike through the wooded trails to the shoreline on Cathead Bay.  The hike takes place at the Leelanau State Park Trailhead parking lot, off of Densmore Rd, near Woolsey Airport, Northport. 

Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 10 AM

A 1.3-mile snowshoe hike through the Leelanau State Park campground wooded area and around the Grand Traverse Lighthouse.  Tour the Lighthouse and visit the gift shop.  Meet at the gift shop to start hike. 

Saturday, February 8, 2025  at 10 AM

A 2-mile snowshoe hike through the wooded trails to the shoreline on Cathead Bay.  The hike takes place at the Leelanau State Park Trailhead parking lot, off of Densmore Rd., near Woolsey Airport, Northport.

Saturday February 22, 2025 at 10 AM

A 1.3-mile snowshoe hike through the Leelanau State Park campground wooded area and around the Grand Traverse Lighthouse.  Tour the Lighthouse and visit the gift shop.  Meet at the gift shop to start hike. 

Saturday March 8, 2025 at   10 AM

A 1.3-mile snowshoe hike through the Leelanau Start Park campground wooded area and around the Grand Traverse Lighthouse.  Tour the Lighthouse and visit the gift shop.  Meet at the gift shop to start hike.

All hikes start at 10 AM.  There is no charge for these outdoor activities, however, a Michigan State Park Recreation Passport is required for your vehicle.
